Getting to Chehalis/Centralia
Out of the area guests can fly into Portland or Seattle. From both cities, Centralia and Chehalis are a 1½ hour drive or train ride. Amtrak Cascades has four trains a day from both cities to Centralia. See below for schedules, but be sure to visit their website for the most up to date schedules. We weren't able to get a group discount on Amtrak; however, Amtrak provides a 10% discount for Triple A Members, and a 15% discount for seniors.
Coming from Seattle
Here's some helpful information: If flying in on Alaska Airlines, use this promotion code ECCMB0230 to receive 10% off. The discount is good for travel between June 11th and June 17th, and may not be used with companion fares or with mileage discounts. Booking online will save you $10 in ticketing fees. We need to have at least 10 people use this discount code for it to be valid, so be sure to let me know if you plan to use it.
If flying in or out of Seattle and taking the train down, you will want to take a taxi from SeaTac, Seattle's airport, to the Tukwila train platform. You can expect to pay about $12, and the taxi ride should take about 15 minutes at the most.
You may want to call a taxi from the train on your way up to Tukwila if making a close connection. Here are three taxi cab companies that typically go from Tukwila to SeaTac:

Alternatively, you may want to consider using the Capital Aeroporter (800.962.3579).
To use this service to Centralia/Chehalis one must make a reservation in advance. Getting to Centralia/Chehalis is easy enough with their scheduled route. It is most critical to schedule in advance for your departing flight to insure you get to the airport in time and they provide two options. One is to take their shared ride, which picks up about 2.5 hours before it arrives at the airport due to the other stops along the way. The cost is $51.75 each way.
Another option is to schedule a private van which will take you straight to SeaTac with no stops in between, taking 1.5 hours to get to SeaTac. There is a flat rate that starts at $125 for three people, and goes up from there. The key to using the Aeroporter is making a reservation at 48 - 72 hours in advance.
